As per the instruction of Central Bank of Bahrain, effective May 31, 2021, Purpose of Payment Code is required to mentioned in Field 77B of MT-103 for cross-border SWIFT messages. Therefore, all customers/ banks are requested to use purpose codes mentioned in the attached list in cross border swift messages. Example for use of purpose code is given below for reference.
