JOB Description

Provides assistance and implements sales strategies for managing Forex business of the branch and achieving New-to-bank growth targets (increasing volume of Forex Business ) while observing strict compliance of Bank Policies, SBP policies / circulars / KYC / AML policies & procedures.

Responsibilities

The Forex Manager reports to the Branch Manager. The primary responsibility of this job role is to handle Forex Business of the branch by satisfying the customer’s expectations relating to any sort of foreign transaction.

Selling of Forex products to clients to achieve Forex sales targets which will result in attracting new clients and retaining old one.

Analysis of business, credit, security & financials of borrowers at branch level to ensure all the requirement as set by SBP guidelines are complete and to send the cases for further elevation to higher offices for Forex Business Credit Limits.

Evaluation of foreign exchange requirements of the client to check for potentials and risks involved, and subsequent followup with the customer to minimize risk factor which helps to save time as only the potential clients are focused to purse for the business.

Handling / Completing all sorts of formalities for processing & opening of letter of credit with Trade to ensure no objections made from TSC, and business is done within the stipulated time.

Timely preparation & submission of all required Forex statements as required by the Head Office and SBP to mitigate against Non -Compliance monetary penalties from SBP.

Balancing of all related GL heads & books and ensure accuracy.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge and Skills

  • Graduate Degree from a recognized university (preferably MBA)
  • Knowledge of International Law governing the Forex business & SBP Forex and Prudential Regulations
  • Understanding of banking operations, money markets, regulations and Treasury operations

Experience Profile

  • Banking experience of 2-5 years

Behavioural Competencies

  • Good communication/interpersonal skills, approachable, friendly and having good control over nurves to sustain pressure
