Senior Manager – Credit Review

JOB Description

Based on review of Credit Proposals, prepare case summaries and reports for the higher Credit Review authorities including recommendations to ensure the quality of MCB’s credit portfolio / lending books.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1	Evaluate/ review credit applications pertaining to all types of customers including Corporate, Commercial, S&ME, Agri, Consumer from all relevant business groups (CF&IBG, RBG, IBG, ARG etc) and writing credit notes for new transactions, annual reviews, renewals, temporary extensions, waivers, and amendments to ensure compliance with credit terms and conditions. Analyze financial statements and determining obligor risk grades for borrowing. Monitor industry trends and evaluat effects on the credit portfolio. Participation in formulating policies and procedures.	30%
2	Maintain TAT to ensure efficiency and to meet MCB’s standards for reviewing a particular type of request.	30%
3	Liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with credit policy and with guidelines as set forth by the regulatory authorities.	10%
4	Field visits in order to get better understanding of the client’s operations.	10%
5	Liaise with Business Units with respect to credit requests and structure the proposed facilities in line with internal and external policy guidelines.	10%
6	Proactively identify deteriorating credits by analysing industry, financial and credit risk analysis. i.e. recommend watch listing of the customers with deteriorating performance.	10%

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge and Skills	Postgraduate with majors in finance.
Experience Profile	3 years plus of relevant experience.
Behavioral Competencies	Interpersonal skills, Analytical skills, Team management
