Shahzad Ishaq heads Digital Banking at MCB Bank Limited. He is a financial services professional with two decades of multi-market, multi-segment, multi-cultural experiences. Before coming to MCB, he spent 16 years at Citi in Pakistan & Europe and another 6 years at a leading Pakistani bank as Head of Consumer Finance.

In addition, to his market knowledge of the country, Shahzad brings with him expertise in Central European retail banking markets, having worked for Citibank in Hungary and Romania. In his stint as Head of Consumer Finance for a leading Pakistan bank, he spearheaded data-driven automation and digital transformation for its cards & consumer lending businesses.

Shahzad’s competencies include extensive knowledge of retail banking: cards/payments, loans, sales & distribution, and quality assurance. He brings with him strong analytical ability, proven history of setting high performance teams, & developing managers. He has been credited for setting high standards for producing results, delivering them with principles and high integrity.

Shahzad, an ardent business reader, holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and has qualified through Senior Leadership Program, Insead, Fontainebleau, France.
