MCB Bank Pakistan

Syed Mohammad Ali Naqvi has joined MCB Bank Ltd as Chief Information Officer (CIO) / Group Head IT in September 2026. Mr. Naqvi is a seasoned technology and digital banking leader, he brings over 23 years of extensive experience across banking, financial services, technology, and digital transformation.

Prior to joining MCB Bank, Mr. Naqvi served as Chief Technology Officer at U Microfinance Bank, where he played a key role in driving technology-led transformation and digital banking initiatives. He was also instrumental in building two of the region’s pioneering digital banks, Raqami Islamic Digital Bank and Al Hilal Digital Bank.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Naqvi served as General Manager at Wipro Limited, where he advised leading banks, telecommunications companies, public-sector organizations, and large conglomerates across the Middle East on AI, digital transformation, and technology strategy.

Mr. Naqvi holds a B.Sc. in Computer Systems Engineering from GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology. His extensive experience across technology, digital banking, artificial intelligence, and strategic transformation positions him to lead technology innovation and enable sustainable business growth.
