Department Head – Security Assurance & Architecture

JOB Description

Purpose of this job role is Create, communicate and implement Information Security Assurance Strategy aligned to the business objectives and Information Security. Reporting to CISO/Division Head IS, responsibilities of Department Head - IT Security assurance includes Develop and managing overall strategy and roadmap for IT risk management functions, Define Assurance strategy and approach; build & execute assurance program. Oversight focusing on the state of security through testing, including vulnerability and penetration testing activities

Development of an enterprise information security strategy and best practices in support of the enterprise’s information security architecture.
Oversee whole program of vulnerability management, incident response, metrics and key performance indicators, security exception management, and vendor security risk management.
Work closely with key business partners and leaders to ensure that security technology selection, design, and implementation align with security risk management strategy.
Responsible to develop & oversee a program for operation of vulnerability assessment tools, researching and analyzing vulnerabilities, identifying relevant threats, corrective action recommendations, summarizing and reporting results.

Experience & Skills

Demonstrable experience within the designing, implementation, and ongoing support of Information Security Compliance.
Demonstrable experience with risk management techniques.
Security operations management and maintaining IT general controls.
Expertise with security assessment methodology, vulnerability management, OWASP model, and CVE ratings.

Qualifications

10 years plus experience in Information Security with 5 years in managing Information Security function
Preferable: CISSP / CISM / CRISC / CGRC
Knowledge of ISO27001 / PCI-DSS / GRC
Knowledge of COBIT 5.0 / ITIL
