Senior Officer Import LC Opening (OG-2)

Trade Services Centre, Islamabad – Operations Group	Unit Head Imports TSC PSH & ISB.

JOB Description

Responsible for timely & accurate processing of Customer’s Import related transactions requests and SBP Reporting with adherence to internal & external regulatory regulations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1	Processing of import Letter of Credit/Contract (Foreign & Local) requests received from branches in line with Bank SOP within approved TAT to ensure quality services to trade customers.	30%
2	Liaison with branches for any discrepancies in the documentation and their rectification. E-name checker/Screening must be performed before execution of any transaction.	20%
3	Prepares MIS for of all exceptions related to transaction and ensure timely reporting. Monitoring of original LC documents and regular follow-ups / reminders for file completion as per SLA. Completion of File as per SOP to avoid any audit objection.	15%
4	Optimum utilization of Symbol TF Module to process trade related transactions. Daily reconciliation of Ledger Balances between branches and TSC (specially control Accounts). Must keep copy of circulars in file and ensure strict compliance of UCP 600, SBP Foreign Exchange manual and other international publications.	15%
5	Handling of SWIFT inward and outward messages regarding imports and reporting of ITRS data to SBP office/ preparation of reports/data and formalities thereto. Any other task assigned by Unit Head.	20%

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge and Skills	Computer Proficiency and banking experience in trade is preferred.
Experience Profile	Master/Graduate with 1-3 years’ experience in banking
Behavioural Competencies	Behavioural Skills, Interpersonal skills, Communication skills
