JOB PURPOSE

Department Head of Product Development is responsible for scoping, planning, execution and delivery of platforms and products for various domains including digital channels, digital products, digital lending, analytics, regulatory requirement etc. Will be working as an interface for the digital banking business teams for all technical requirements and getting delivery done through IT and other relevant stakeholders. Managing the product roadmap and planning delivery cycles. Working with business teams to lock requirements with respect all channels-keeping compliance, operational, technical concerns/capabilities in mind.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for the entire product development process from conception to completion
  • Work with the business teams and other stakeholders including operations, compliance etc. to lock requirement for development.
  • Working with the UI/UX teams to ensure timely delivery of required is given to technical teams for development of products/features
  • Keeping an eye out for latest technologies/processes to help streamline the development process.
  • Managing the development roadmap with the technical teams and ensuring projects are delivered in a timely manner
  • Work as an interface for the business teams for development related to all digital channels
  • Ensuring processes are in place and operational excellence is being achieved in all product/project deliveries
  • Manage a team of product managers/officers working on developments
  • Project monitoring, planning, status maintenance, managing delays, stakeholder management, presenting updates to management, raising alarms etc. are all part of the JDs of the department for product planning.
  • Cost monitoring in collaboration with finance teams to ensure CAPEX budgets are in check.
  • Team management, process management, project management are essential skills along with always adapting a customer centric approach

Experience:

10-12 years of relevant experience

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge and Skills

  • 10-12 years’ experience of banking/digital channels/application/product development/planning
  • Knowledge of banking products and services, including its inherent risks
  • Strong interpersonal skills which allows the candidate to effectively engage with both senior stakeholders and peers across different teams.
  • Knowledge of technical skills, system understanding related to digital banking
  • Strong people management skills
  • Skilled in handling problematic situations.
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills
  • Business degree with a under graduate degree in engineering preferred.
